About Me

I think it's time to write one of these up. I'm Joshua Borja, a 4th year design (visual commiunications) honours student who has a penchant for typography and musical theater. Taking these penchants into stride, my honours thesis is about "The Typographic Theater"in which I will explore the use of typography in theatre design, primarily in Sondheim's Into the Woods.

That's enough of my thesis, that can be placed on another page. Other than sitting down infront of a computer all day making things look 'aesthetically pleasing', I also am very active in the amateur theatre scene. I've been in 5 musicals and 3 plays, been assistant musical director and musical director for a few things. That has been done by the time that I have left high school. Funnily enough, I have performed in PMCC's "Into the Woods" playing Rapunzel's prince (thus the picture), and have been using my memories from that performance to guide my way in my thesis writing.

Oh, another thing is that I'm also very interested in foreign languages, in particular Asian languages. After a dismal attempt at learning Japanese at high school, I still found the language interesting. I'm mainly interested in the writing systems of the languages, as they are so different to European languages.

I think that's all you should know about me, so I'm going to stop writing about myself. So, yeah, that's some of me.
